"Day at the Merries"

The Piper family generously hosted our school last Saturday for the fifth year in succession.  Scoil Bhríde cannot thank them enough for opening their facilities to our community and creating one of the most enjoyable occasions of the year.

Note to parents 1st September 2014

Parents/Guardians,

Traffic Issues:
I would like to thank everyone for their support over the last few days in relation to the traffic and parking situation here in Scoil Bhríde.  As you can imagine the health and safety of the 191 girls who attend here every day is paramount for me and such co-operation makes everything a little easier.  The levels of traffic on the school road has definitely increased in the morning time so as always I am asking parents to avoid using the school road if at all possible.
Art and Craft/Photocopying Fee:

Every year at this time we ask for a contribution of €30 per child towards the cost of these resources.  I hope that everyone will send in this fee as soon as you can.  Obviously the more we receive the more resources we can acquire.

Allianz Pupil- Insurance:

Please find attached the form for registering your child for this extra pupil-insurance cover.  I can not emphasise enough how important I think it is for you to register your child with this insurance cover, particularly the €6.30 option.  The number of  families that have successfully utilised this scheme grows year on year.   If you are not aware, it entitles you to visit the VHI Swiftcare Clinic in Mahon and while you must pay in full initially, you can claim 100% of this fee back from Allianz.  (NB; it is important to include the application form at the bottom of the insurance letter when returning the money to school)

Scoil Bhríde Fund-Raising:

ur annual “Day at the Merries!” will take place on Saturday 13th September between 2:00pm – 4:00pm in Pipers!   All funds raised will be going to our school.  Please mark the date and spread the word.  Further details will be sent out to you over the next few days.  If anyone is interesting on helping out in some small capacity on the day, please feel free to contact us here in the school.

Best Wishes!
