All-Ireland Ladies Football Final 2011

Congratulations to Ms. Murphy and the Cork Ladies Football team on their epic win yesterday!!

Scoil Bhríde took 6 staff members and 80 girls to see the game in Croke Park...a day to remember!!

International Person of the Year

We had a fantastic visit this morning from the 2011 Irish Person of the Year, Ms. Edith Wilkins.

Edith is one of our own with her daughter currently being a member of Fifth Class.

Edith received her reward for her unselfish work for Street Children in India!!

RED and WHITE DAY 2011 was a tremendous success. We received a full page spread in the Evening Echo on Thursday 22nd September's edition.

Thanks to all our parents and staff for supporting and participating! It is days like this one that the children always remember!!

Enrolment for 2012

Schedule for the "Trip to Croke Park"

Sunday 25th September:

Leaving Scoil Bhríde at 9:30am
Entry into Croke Park at 2:30pm
Match at 4:00pm
Returning to Buses at 6:00pm
McDonalds at 6:30pm
Returning to Scoil Bhríde at 10:00pm

All the girls are asked to bring their school coats. Total cost of the trip is €22, including a meal in McDonalds.

In light of the Cork Ladies Football Team reaching the All Ireland Final on Sunday 25th September, we will have a "Red and White Day" here in Scoil Bhríde next Wednesday, 21st September.

Each child will be asked to give €2 on the day with the proceeds being dontated to the "Cork Animal Care Society"

Scoil Bhríde goes to Croke Park!

To honour the fact that Ms. Murphy will be playing the All Ireland Ladies Football Final, our 4th - 6th Classes will make the trip to Croke Park on Sunday, 25th September.

We hope to leave Crosshaven at 8:30am, arriving in Dublin at 12:00pm. Have our lunches before entering the stadium for the match which begins at 4:00pm.

It is hoped to return to Crosshaven at approximately 10:00pm that evening.
